2015 EdAhead Donations

Donations were directly related to the total amount of money that participating Dun & Bradstreet employees contributed to their EdAhead accounts in 2015.

Tempe Elementary School District

Tempe, AZ
2015 Donation: $2,500

STEM/Robotics Club

  • The $2,500 donation was presented to Tempe Elementary School District’s STEM/Robotics club
  • The club challenges approximately forty 8th grade students to build and program robots

Dudley High School

Greensboro, NC
2015 Donation: $16,685

Dudley High School

  • $16,685 will go towards the Doers, Thinkers, and Innovators Fund at Dudley High School
  • A portion of the donation will help to fund the Dudley High School ATV club, an after-school program where students work together to build solar-energy powered cars using recycled materials

Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills

2014 Donation: $10,000

Millburn

  • $10,000 donation was presented to the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills
  • The donation will fund the Animatronics initiative within the Millburn Middle School’s science, technology, art, engineering, and math (STEAM) program

Guilford County Enrichment Fund

Greensboro, NC
2014 Donation: $19,000

DBCC GBO Staff with EdAhead Check 2014

  • $19,271 donation was presented to the Enrichment Fund for the Guilford County Schools
  • First grant of $2,400 was used to compete in an international DECA club competition in Orlando, FL

Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation

Santa Monica, CA
2014 Donation: $100,000

  • The $100,000 grant made to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation (SMMEF) by Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. was matched by the community for a total of $200,000 in donations
  • The $200,000 in donations will be put toward the Vision for Student Success (VSS), a comprehensive program designed to improve student achievement and success from transitional kindergarten to 12th grade

Los Angeles Unified School District

Los Angeles, CA
2014 Donation: $100,000

  • The first ever donation to the Los Angeles Unified School District through EdAhead was made in December 2014
  • The matching grant challenge will support the Beyond the Bell CyberPatriot and CyberGirlz programs, and will enable the CyberGirlz program to provide critical resources to train young women in technology and cyber security

Tempe Elementary

Tempe, AZ
2014 Donation: $4,000

Tempe EdAhead check presentation

  • $4,060 was presented to the Tempe Elementary School District in support of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives
  • The school district will use the funds to support the Fees College Preparatory Middle School STEM based curriculum
  • A matching grant was also announced

 

 

Tucson Unified

Tucson, AZ
2014 Donation: $21,000

  • $20,595 was presented to the Tucson Unified School District
  • The donation will be used to provide high school STEM clubs with the resources to plan, develop, prepare, and implement rigorous and relevant projects that connect academics and community service

Bethlehem Area School District

Bethlehem, PA
2014 Donation: $32,000

Bethlehem EdAhead check presentation

  • $32,355 was presented to the Bethlehem Area School District
  • The funds will be used for the Bethlehem Area School District’s high school STEM initiative called Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a four-year series of courses for high school students developed by engineers, physicians, university faculty, and associated organizations

Millburn-Short Hills

Millburn, NJ
2014 Donation: $5,000

  • Since 2013, Dun & Bradstreet Credibility has donated $20,650 to the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills.
  • The grant, which was presented to the middle school on Feb. 27th, will be used to offer a new course, titled ‘Girls Coding with Girls.’
